Governed by Polish Education Law
In Poland, international education is strictly regulated by Article 21 of the Education Law Act . This allows schools to operate international branches using foreign curricula under the authority of the Minister of Education.
-
The Rule: Students learn entirely in a foreign language following a global curriculum.
-
The Exception: Polish citizens also complete the core curriculum for Polish language, history, and geography in Polish.
While "International Departments" are legally recognized, Polish law currently lacks a formal definition for an "International School" or "International Preschool." This creates a unique landscape where schools implement global principles tailored to children's needs without a specific domestic preschool label.
As Poland becomes a top-tier hub for global investors and corporations, the demand for international education is surging. Supporting this sector is no longer just about schooling—it is a critical pillar for Poland's long-term economic stability and international attractiveness.
